A Bit About Me
The Crafty Emma Jane was born out of a need for light during my darkest time. After losing my fiancé, Tim, in 2020, I turned to my creative mind as a sanctuary. It was through painting my original animal watercolors that I began to heal and rediscover the "ness" in the world around me and indeed my future.
As I moved forward, a deeper creative memory began to stir. I had always been a maker, i loved sculpting as a child, and in the last couple of years, I felt a calling to return to that tactile world.
The Crafty Lil Creatures are the result of that reawakening.
Working with fine porcelain in my Farnham studio allows me to be fully present, shaping every tiny character by hand. Each creature is hand-sculpted and never molded - capturing a unique personality in every curve. From that first "pinch" of raw clay to the final hand-painted charcoal stripe, these miniatures represent a journey of rediscovery.
